Having a fundamental understanding of Intrinsic Safety at the beginning of the design cycle can save months in development time and thousands of dollars in build costs.

Our designers can help identify and incorporate intrinsic safety design techniques, zone barriers and assist with critical component selection, to ensure the design meets or exceeds the requirements for the intended hazardous location.

We can also assist in guiding a design through the approval and certification process with CSA or another certification body of the client's choice.

How It Works

Making a device intrinsically safe means to place a barrier within the device that limits the amount of energy flowing through that area. Intrinsically Safe devices makes it safe to use in various hazardous environments. This is a customizable step that will comply with set standards.
