Support Product Variants
Monad had designed multiple versions of their miners using different numbers of FPGAs, in order to provide different levels of performance. RMED enhanced the on-board firmware in order to handle multiple and variable numbers of FPGAs, loading/updating bitstreams, and handling operating frequencies for each FPGA to optimize performance without overheating.
Manufacturing and Test
RMED enhanced the miner firmware in order to provide test functions for board assemblies. An encryption-enabled bootloader was also implemented in order to provide secure firmware loading and upgrading. A PC tool was developed to support firmware loading/upgrading by factory and maintenance operators.
